A Travellerspoint blog

Just a quick note...

overcast -3 °C

Been taking plenty of photos (so many to sort) in Chengdu before I have to say goodbye, which is one week and three days, and so little time in selecting.

Nevertheless, I had to share tis photo with all when awaken from the fireworks exploring loudly into the air. Locals were outside the hotel building and wherever else around the city, the skies were lit with sparked blossoms of streaming colorful lights.

Happy Chinese New Year! Xiannan Kuaile!!

Well I wonder how many men have been burt by your flames of interest? You
must b very "Hot." And I don't mean what your thinking...that way! You can
be a hot scholar, a hot actress, or a hot chess player.

My best,
Fiore C.

It is always so nice to receive your emails. Internet seems a good partner for you. And I trust that you can do sth religiously. Lydia and I are busy writing the final papers for our project. Once it's finished, I'll let you know. So relax yourself enough, cause once you get involved in our project, you may be so interested that you don't want to spend anytime doing sth else.
best wishes

happy chinese new year! hope you had a good time in chengdu - almost time for you to go to your new placement. i have e-mailed one of my friends there but have not gotten any response from them yet... maybe they're in the states right now. i'm not sure.

i am enjoying my time in beijing. it's pretty cold, but we're making the best of it. we visited some places around town i had not been to like beihai park and the bird's nest olympic stadium. we've also just been hanging out with miss alice's family and eating lots of good chinese and mongolian food! i think they've made it their goal to stuff me like a thanksgiving turkey!

well, i need to take a shower. have a good trip soon. we'll miss you but will stay in touch as often as possible.
bye for now,
